How to Fund Your Treatment
This information will offer help for funding treatment at AIS:
- Some health insurance companies may reimburse for treatment according to your plan's coverage. Check your Benefits Booklet to see if speech therapy is covered. Click here for Important Insurance Guidelines: Guide for Obtaining Reimbursement for Stuttering Treatment which is an extensive guide to finding your way through the insurance process.
- We accept Visa or Mastercard and American Express
- Program fees and expenses incurred (meals, hotel, travel) may be tax-deductible. Check with your tax advisor or accountant
- For Those Over 18
Many State Offices of Vocational Rehabilitation pay in full or in part for participation in our program. Search online or call your state government for your local office. If you need help in doing this, we are happy to assist you. AIS is a registered vendor with New York State's VESID, New Jersey's DVR, Connecticut's BRS and other states as well. - Some companies have employee development programs that may fund your participation. Companies that have done so are Mobil Oil, Grumman Aircraft, Spartan Foods, Equitable Life, and IBM. Check with your Personnel or Human Resource Department.
- Sliding scale fees are also available for individuals who qualify. If you feel you might qualify, an application for funding may be downloaded here: Application for Financial Assistance (Adobe Acrobat required).
Current treatment fees may be obtained by calling us at 212-633-6400 or toll free at 877-378-8883 or email us.
