June 8th, 2015 – The Annual Freeing Voices Changing Lives Benefit Gala was held by the American Institute for Stuttering. Emily Blunt was the mistress of ceremonies, while Ed Sheeran was our honoree. The gala was co chaired by Arthur Blank and Jack Welch.
June 8, 2015 – Dr. Heather Grossman, AIS Director, speaks at the 9th Annual American Institute for Stuttering Gala. Mistress of Ceremonies Emily Blunt and Honoree Ed Sheeran lend their star power to an important cause.
Jack, who has received speech therapy at AIS, speaks about his experiences with stuttering and with therapy.
Rahima attended an intensive therapy program at the American Institute for Stuttering. In her speech, she briefly speaks about those experiences, and then shared a spoken word poem about stuttering, titled, “Did you forget your name.” Rahima has worked in consulting and for the Clinton Foundation, and is now at Harvard Business School.

Near the end of the 9th annual AIS gala (2015), Ed sheeran took to the stage and sang Thinking Out Loud and his Don’t / No Diggity mashup.
