  2. HI,

Nice to hear him talking more fluently.

Could someone tell me why he couldn’t learn his speech by heart and not have to always look down at his speech? I guess I don’t understand this since it was such an important event and such a supportive audience and he could have learned memorized his speech for such a monumental event and looked at his audience at least more often than he did.

Could someone on staff at AIS tell me why people always read their speeches? Are there speech cues alongside words that tell him how to handle an upcoming problem with a word or sound and they use the speech at the event for practice and in the future they won’t need cues on paper anymore?

    Thanks,

    Steven.

  4. Hi Jodriann,

I am glad that you liked your speech at the Gala.

Could you answer the question I left above the comments you left: why did you read your speech?

I would have thought that you would have liked to have memorized your speech in order to make alot of eye contact with the audience. Are their speech cues on the paper that allow you to get past a block on an upcoming word?

I haven’t heard back from AIS yet but saw that you left comments and was hoping that you could explain why nearly everyone reads their speeches at the Gala.

    Thanks,

    Steven
