Thanks Pam! Good to hear you were involved in Toastmasters as well!

On the techniques I used; I'd say I have kind of scrapped together my own tool kit at this point. I don't use full blown fluency shaping but I use a lot of its elements. For example, I will try to make sure my breathing is pretty good and as I'm getting ready to start saying something, I will just lend my focus to the vocal folds etc. It seems to work pretty well for me. I am still modifying some of my approaches and am implementing different things as I gain more "feedback" haha.

But anyway, the blog looks great! I think it's a great idea. Video quality is really good. It looks professional.

Good luck to the June program!

Matt, wonderful icebreaker speech. You looked so calm and at ease. Congratulations. Nice topic - talking about your interests in rap, your craft.
What techniques did you use? You sound wonderful - beautifully fluent. I love the way you talk about your personal transformation and self promotion.
Good luck! A Rapper with a Stutter is not an oxymoron -its great!

That's great to hear Pam. Several of our past clients have found this to be a great challenge and a momentum builder as they grow and change.

Yes, there is a video clip in the blog. There is a YouTube video below the blog post text. You will need the latest version of Adobe Flash Player to watch it. Click the link below to download it for free.

The very first speech I gave in Toastmasters was admitting that I stutter - that was 3 years ago. I stuttered and cried during the speech. It was crazy emotional, but I DID IT, and that was huge.
Since then, I have given several other speeches on stuttering, to educate, raise awareness and to selfishly help me feel more comfortable.
Congratulations Matt. Is there a clip of him? I don't see it.
