    HI,

I enjoyed listening to her and her improved speech although I don’t know how her speech was before.

I think I noticed she has problems with “s” sounds, I think if she tried reduced air flow this would improve.

With respect to the word “orange” she needs to complete the position for the “ar” sound in orange and it should work just fine

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Fred,

Thanks for commenting. I’d have to ask Alison, but I’m not sure she’s actively using any speech management strategy in this video. I would really encourage viewers to listen to what she’s saying rather than her level of fluency.

If you listen to the last thing Alison says, she mentions that she’s come to accept her stuttering, so its not such a dreaded thing. I think this really captures what many people experience as they learn to desensitize their reactions to stuttering.

Perhaps we can encourage Alison to come back in now that her intensive is complete to do another video. I’d love for her to share about where she currently is in her journey with stuttering.

    Carl
